American Pacific Corp. officials break ground on $100Mexpansion Project near Cedar City
American Pacific Corporation officially broke ground on Tuesday on a $100 million expansion project that is expected to increase its production capacity by more than 50%.
At American Pacific’s headquarters and manufacturing facility located northwest of Cedar City at the northern end of Iron Springs Road, company officials and employees were joined by local elected officials and civic leaders for a 30-minute groundbreaking ceremony.
As he welcomed those in attendance, American Pacific Corporation President Kris Griffith reflected on his 24-plus years with the company.
“Quite frankly, I love what I do,” he said. “I've served in a number of different roles, and I've seen this business evolve through changes in leadership, changes in ownership, market shifts and really, countless challenges over the years, and what's never changed is the perseverance and resiliency of this company.”
