5N+ to Expand St. George, Utah Production Facility by 50% to Support Future Growth
Montréal, Quebec, September 22, 2026 – 5N Plus Inc. (TSX:VNP) (“5N+” or “the Company”), a leading global producer of specialty semiconductors and performance materials, today announced plans to expand its St. George, Utah facility by approximately 50%. The expansion project aims to provide a capital-efficient and scalable platform to grow 5N+’s advanced materials capabilities for defense, space solar, medical imaging and industrial sensing applications. It will also contribute to strengthening the resilience of strategic North American critical mineral transformation supply chains.
The additional manufacturing and product-development space will improve site workflows and install new equipment, allowing 5N+ to progressively grow its team of engineers and materials scientists, and increase production capacity. While construction is ongoing, 5N+ engineers, technicians and third-party equipment manufacturers will assemble critical equipment offsite, to accelerate installation once construction is complete and capacity ramp-up. Construction is expected to begin in Q3 2026 and to be completed by the second half of 2027.
“5N+ has deep expertise transforming critical minerals and over the past several years, our St. George team has solidified its position as a trusted partner in strategic U.S. and global supply chains,” said Richard Perron, President and Chief Executive Officer of 5N+. “The customer relationships we have built across government and industry, combined with deliberate investments in our talent and technology, have positioned St. George for further growth, including within the U.S. defense industrial base.”
